Shimmer Polish Review

Hey guys! Last week I received a nail polish in the mail from Shimmer Polish by Cindy. I have to say this nail polish is INCREDIBLE! If you're looking for a good, quality polish, I would definitely recommend this. The best part is how easy the glitter can be removed from your nail. It is not one of those stubborn glitter polishes that take days to remove. The color was a very pretty and almost opaque blue glitter color. Most other store brands don't provide enough glitter which makes it tough to put the polish on your nail. With one coat of this it seems like five coats of Milani, or Essie! I will keep Shimmer Polish in mind for the future! I give this girl two thumbs up for hand-making all of these great polishes!

In these photos I did a black and clear water marble. For my base color underneath I used Funky Fingers Ms. Mint, and Shimmer Polish Anna. For my topcoat I used Gel Effects by Nails Inc.

A quick and easy nail design

Good afternoon everyone! I just wanted to share a quick and easy nail look I created today.

I used a variety of polishes to create this look and the good thing is that it was very fast. If your nails are plain and you don't have too much time this might be perfect for you.

Products I used: Orly Bonder Rubberized Base Coat,  Finger Paints- Black Expressionism, Sally Hansen Hard as Nails- Coral Reef, Essie- Play Date, Orly- White Tips, Funky Fingers- Mrs. Mint, Maybelline Color Show- Blue Bombshell, Nails Inc.- Gel effect top coat

To make the actual design I used my new dotting tools-- You can find dotting tools on Ebay or Amazon for a very low price! If you don't want to buy the tools you can use a toothpick or the end of a bobby pin to create nail art or small dots.

I'm not sure that anybody would need step-by-step instructions for this look since it is just dots placed on top of each other.

DIY "Open When..." letters

These are absolutely perfect for a boyfriend, girlfriend, or even best friend! They've become such a popular craft on the internet. About a year ago i designed my own "open when" letters for my boyfriend. It is such a kind and thoughtful gift! Plus they're very easy and fun to make. He was so happy that i took the time to create something so unique and one-of-a-kind for him! I encourage you to recreate these for a valentines gift, going away gift, or even just cause'!

As you can see, I only crafted about six letters. If i would have waited patiently(what a joke) to get these done, I could have made even better ones, but of course instead I made them all in one day. I just couldn't resist!

  1. "Open when:" You need to know how much I love you
  2. "Open when:" You're hungry
  3. "Open when:" We're fighting
  4. "Open when:" You want to relive the memories
  5. "Open when:" You want to laugh
  6. "Open when:" You miss me
I'm not going to go through what I added in each handmade envelope, but if you need some inspiration for making your own letters, look on Pinterest for some ideas.

Hope you enjoyed my very first post!
